Abstract
Just like in the Renaissance, today’s universities are the ones leading the paradigm shift, this time towards the green and digital transition. The Commission proposed in 2022 a “European Strategy for Universities” that contributes in the achievement of the European Education Area by 2025. The European Committee of the Regions appreciated the approach suggested, requesting though a wider local and regional dimension, considering that universities play an important role in the sustainable and resilient development.
