Abstract

Abstract Pediatric venous thromboembolic disease is increasing in incidence in both inpatient and outpatient populations. A collaborative, multidisciplinary approach between interventional radiology (IR), hematology, anesthesiology, and critical care medicine provides the highest level of care for such patients. This review focuses on the clinical management of venous thromboembolic disease and the potential role of pediatric IR in treating these conditions.
