Abstract

Background and Aims: Metabolic syndrome represents a cluster of cardiovascular risk factors, which emphasizes the importance of visceral obesity. Right ventricular hypertrophy and dimensions showed particular importance in the evaluation of prognosis in patients with different pathologies. The aim of this study was to evaluate epicardial fat thickness (EFT), as a marker of visceral adiposity, lipid profile and right ventricular morphological parameters in patients with metabolic syndrome.
