Abstract
Problems of economic and institutional convergence and divergence in the post-Soviet space as a factor of regional economic integration are discussed. The concepts of β and σ convergence, as well as growth rate convergence, are used to investigate quantitative characteristics of these processes. The relationship of internal and external disintegration and its role for the economic space of the CIS and Russia are elicited.
