Abstract

In modern times, increasing divorce ratio should be addressed properly by the agencies concerned. There are numerous studies that found that dyadic coping plays a vital role in marital satisfaction as a significant predictor of marital quality. However, previous research overlooked the function of dyadic coping from both dimensions of marital quality: positive and negative marital quality. Factors that hinder marital satisfaction do not simply mean that they cause marital dissatisfaction. Thus, this conceptual paper aims to discuss the function of dyadic coping to marital quality from both domains.
