Abstract
The role of the crystal symmetry in the presence of strong spin-orbit coupling is reviewed. The difficulty of making precise determinations of the nodal structure of the gap in these anisotropic superconductors is discussed. A possible interpretation of recent critical field data on UPt 3 is given. The peak in the ultrasonic attenuation in UBe 3 is discussed in terms of the available theories.
