Abstract

A study was made of the effect of complex-formation between N-hydroxysuccinimide and aliphatic diamines during polycondensation of the latter with bis-N-hydroxysuccinimide esters of dicarboxylic acids. It was shown that when using comparatively low-activity diesters complex-formation inhibits the process without having any marked effect on the course and results of polycondensation with high-reactivity diesters.
