Abstract
This research aims to analyze the role of boarding school leaders in character building among students at the Tahfiz Quran Azhar Center Islamic Boarding School in Labuhanbatu Utara. The research method used is qualitative. The findings reveal that the leaders of the Tahfiz Quran Azhar Center Islamic Boarding School in Labuhanbatu Utara play a crucial role in shaping students' character through a holistic educational environment. The leaders not only teach Islamic knowledge formally but also instill character values such as tolerance, cooperation, and responsibility through various methods like lectures, exemplary behavior, habituation, advice, and disciplinary measures. Internal supporting factors such as students' motivation and external factors like caregivers' support and good facilities at the boarding school aid the character-building process. However, challenges like student boredom and difficulties in distance learning were also identified. Overall, this systematic and holistic approach has successfully created intellectually smart individuals with good morals in line with Islamic values.
