Abstract

Objective. The aim of the work is to analyze contemporary literature of domestic and foreign authors and to present the main effects of eicosanoids in the lungs.Conclusions. Local changes in the oxidative metabolism of arachidonic acid in pulmonary tuberculosis remain unknown, in particular, the specific features of the pulmonary eicosanoid spectrum in various types of respiratory failure. Also, the influence on intra-pulmonary generation of prostaglandins and leukotrienes of drugs used in the treatment of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis remains definite.
