Abstract
Background: Anti-platelet and anticoagulation therapies have many medical indications and their use is very common. Previous studies have noted increased GI bleeding risks associated with different forms of anticoagulation and anti-platelet therapy. Less is known regarding risks of re-bleeding in patients who remain on anticoagulation and anti-platelet therapies after their incident GI bleed. Aim: To determine the impact of different types of anti-platelet and anticoagulation therapies on re-bleeding rates in patients who have already had a GI bleed.
