Abstract
Simulation Technology (SimTech) came up as a cluster of excellence in late 2007 and is still financed by the German Excellence Initiative (2007-2018) and the German Excellence Strategy (since 2019). The cluster comprises a research programme, a Graduate School, a Study Programme, and both a Junior and a Graduate Academy. In addition, the cluster generated the School of Simulation Technology, a faculty-like structure at the University of Stuttgart.
