Abstract
The article discusses the role of physical education in the development of children with autism spectrum disorder. The purpose of the study was to review modern studies proving the influence of physical education on physical and psychological development. The analysis proves that physical activity has a very positive effect on the development of motor skills and physical qualities, helps in the prevention of obesity, to which 30% of children in this group are prone, and promotes the development of concentration. Physical activity is effective in correcting many forms of inappropriate behavior associated with autism, and also contributes to academic performance. The researchers note the importance of the proper organization of physical education programs and the selection of types of motor activity.
