Abstract
For the metastable states of spin glasses a domain structure is suggested. It relates the excess energy Delta E to the remanent magnetisation M by a power law Delta E varies as Mx where x is given by the scaling exponent of the interface energy. This allows the author to determine the interface exponent experimentally. Since the spin glass has a phase transition for x>2 only, they can obtain equilibrium properties from non-equilibrium experiments.
