Abstract
The collective relaxation processes in antiferroelectric liquid crystals are investigated both theoretically and experimentally. A comparison of results for the electro-optic and dielectric spectroscopy with a solution for the dynamical equation enables a determination of the origin of the relaxation processes in antiferroelectric phases.
