Abstract

Utilization of antenatal care services by a number of pregnant women in Indonesia is not fully in accordance with the standards set. Underutilization of antenatal care by pregnant women is associated with many factors, including the knowledge of pregnant women. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of knowledge of pregnant women with antenatal care regularity in the Village multiplication multiplication District of Kediri. Design The design of this study descriptive study with cross sectional approach. The study population all third trimester pregnant women in the village of the District multiplication multiplication of Kediri, with a total sampling obtained a sample of 30 respondents. The dependent variable in this study is the knowledge of pregnant women and the dependent variable is the regularity of antenatal care visits. The research instrument used a questionnaire and observation KIA book. The research location in the village of multiplication multiplication District of Kediri. When the study 1 August to 10 August 2017. The data processing by means of editing, coding, scoring, tabulating. Data were analyzed using chi square test with SPSS version 20 computer assistance. The results showed that the majority of knowledge about the antenatal care of pregnant women with less criteria that is 14 respondents (46%). Regularity antenatal care for the majority of the regular criteria of 20 respondents (66.67%). From the analysis using Chi Square statistical test known value of p = 0.486 greater than 0.05. (P> 0.05 or 0.486> 0.05) so that H1 is rejected and there is no relationship between the knowledge of third trimester pregnant women with antenatal care visits regularity. From the results of this study concluded that there is no relationship between the knowledge of third trimester pregnant women with the regularity of visits antenatal care, For pregnant women is expected to increase knowledge by digging out as much about the health of pregnant women and complications in pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum
