Abstract

In a previous article [1], the eigenvalues of the elasto-plastic material matrix of a Drucker-Prager nonassociated soil model were analyzed with special attention to the occurrence of complex eigenvalues. The link between this analysis on material level to stress states which arise in a numerical computation is made in this article. © 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
