Abstract
The idea of an occupational education center as a joint venture for several small schools has long been accepted as workable. This article explains why it is just as practical to incorpo rate the teaching of academic subjects into such a center's curriculum and thereby furnish more advanced courses in, for example, foreign languages, math, and science. The resultant benefit to students is incalculable without putting an intolerable strain on each small school in an area.
