Abstract

The article is aimed mainly at finding out the lines indicating Kyrgyz family values in Chyngyz Aitmatov’s work “Djamilya”. It considers the phrases that show the familial values of Kyrgyz culture and the reflection of it in the religious sources. The main task was to find and analyze the phrases describing family values in the story “Djamilya”. In the process of analyses, the phrases were related to the family values and was given the background and the possible reasons of the appearance of the values. From the story “Djamilya” four extracts were taken that bear the reflection of family values in Kyrgyz culture. In analyzing the phrases other phrases were added that can serve as a supplement to the main extracts.. Most of the values seem to be much more alike, and the message of the religious verses guide people to secure their values in order to get a healthy society.
