Abstract

Entertainment tourism is still being used only in limited academic terms, and it lacks theoretical theories about concepts. The purpose of this study was to examine a paradigm of entertainment tourism in terms of concepts and theories. To understand the phenomenon of entertainment tourism is needed to explore the attributes of entertainment and tourism. Then, this study tried to come to know these relationships and supported theories which are play, playfulness, fun theory, SAE, and hedonic/utilitarian. Entertainment tourism can be explained by the integrated tourism phenomenon which is the combination of the psychological value of customers such as play, fun, pleasure, and entertainment, and resultant aspects of consumer behavior such as satisfaction of convenience, achievement, and profit. The attributes of entertainment tourism was classified to five attributes, playfulness, fun, novelty, hedonic, and amusement. Entertainment tourism typology were separated by four types(facility-passive participants, facility-active participants, contents-passive participants, contents-active participants) based on facility-centric, contents-centric, and behavior.
