Abstract
The “SFM” (Spiral, Formate, Modifide roll; means the spiral gear is generated by the Formate method, while the pinion is generated by the method of envelope with the Modified roll) and “HFM”(same as mentioned above but for the Hypoid gears) is a highly effective means of forming spiral-bevel and hypoid gears. The current paper presents a method for realizing, and indeed improving, the conventional gear cutting method associated with a traditional machine tool upon a CNC Hypoid Cutting Machine.
