Abstract
AbstractA study has been made of the colour‐forming reaction between alkaline hydrogen peroxide and certain acid halides and anhydrides in the presence of benzidine‐type bases, which has formed the basis of a colorimetric method for the estimation of phosphonofluoridates and related compounds. The scope of the reaction is indicated, and suggestions are made with regard to its mechanism and the nature of the coloured product.
