Abstract
The reaction 6Li( 6Li, α)2α was studied from 4 to 24 MeV. Previous studies at low energies resulted in the hypothesis of a quasimolecular state in the 6Li- 6Li system which explains the broad continuum in the α-particle spectra. The predictions of this hypothesis, that the continuum peak should both broaden and diminish at higher energies, are consistent with the present experiment.
