Abstract

Angular distributions of the reaction 3H( 3He, d) 4He have been measured at E( 3 He) = 291, 369, 600 and 800 keV and have been found on the average to be symmetric about 90° in the c.m. system, in accord with the Barshay-Temmer isospin theorem. The slight asymmetries (≦ 1%) together with the energy dependence of larger asymmetries from other experiments suggests strongly isospin mixing in the compound nucleus 6Li.
