Abstract

Angular distributions of differential cross section have been measured for the 12C( 3He, n) 14O reaction at a bombarding energy of 45.5 MeV. A coupled-channel analysis of the data is made for the transitions to the ground and the first-excited states in 14O. The wave functions of these two states, successful in reproducing the data, are used to analyze existing data for the same reaction at a lower bombarding energy of 25.4 MeV. Using these wave functions for the isobaric analogues, i.e. the ground and the first-excited states in 14C, existing data for the 13C( d , p) 14C reaction are also analyzed.
