Abstract
Abstract : During the course of recent investigations of the effect of nitrous oxide on the radiolysis of liquid hydrocarbons, an estimate of the yield of nitrogen from the 'direct radiolysis' of nitrous oxide in the liquid phase was required. Accordingly, the radiolysis of pure liquid nitrous oxide and of nitrous oxide--cyclopentane solutions were investigated and the results are reported. (Author)
