Abstract
The consequences of the quark model proposed recently by Lipkin and Scheck are investigated for baryon-baryon and baryon-antibaryon scattering. It is found that, apart from the unpleasant prediction\(\sigma ^{tot} \left( {\bar pp} \right) > \sigma ^{tot} \left( {\bar pn} \right)\), all other predictions are in reasonable agreement with experiment.
