Abstract

For the past decade, there has been much active discussion and interest by individuals, groups, and committees concerning the high school psychology course. However, a review of the literature indicates that there has been no recent national survey of what is being done in this field since 1950. The purpose of the present report is to update the information concerning the extent to which psychology is taught as a separate course of instruction in secondary schools in the United States.
