Abstract

This article uses Charles Garoian’s excellent study The Prosthetic Pedagogy of Art as a jumping off point to confirm the strength of his thesis on “prosthetics of space and time.” It does so by exploring the “visual” via both Derridean and Deleuzian philosophies in relation to the image of thought. It does this through a series of thought experiments and ends with a meditation on an “accelerated aesthetic” via a televised episode from the British series Black Mirror.
