Abstract
Progestin IUDs are effective long-acting reversible contraceptives and are popular among young women presenting for elective oocyte cryopreservation or oocyte donation. IUD removal and replacement is costly, requires additional procedures, and increases risk of unintended pregnancy; however, the impact of low-dose local progesterone during ovarian stimulation is unknown. We sought to assess the impact of a progestin IUD on ovarian stimulation and retrieval parameters.
