Abstract
Although little-known, health mediation is already being deployed in a variety of settings (associations, municipalities, health centers, etc.), and plays a vital role in access to rights and healthcare, thanks to its position at the interface between the medical and social sectors. Social insecurity, disability, loss of autonomy, the digital divide and language barriers are all obstacles likely to hinder access to healthcare and social assistance. Thanks to their knowledge of healthcare networks, social services and local associations, health mediators can help people gain access to their rights and healthcare.
