Abstract
The interest in a pure milk supply aroused by recent investigations has created a demand for a work which shall systematically set forth the reasons for the production of clean milk and the methods by which this purpose can be realized. Such a book has been produced by Dr. Winslow. The author is well fitted by experience for his task, as he is not only a graduate in medicine, but in agricultural science and veterinary medicine. He has also been engaged in laboratory work connected with the examination of the milk supply of a large city. The book is primarily directed to the milk-producer, although the author calls attention to the fact that the chief responsibility for unclean milk lies with the consumer.
