Abstract
A compatible system of FA (frequency agility) and MTD (moving target detection) has improved target detectability while both active interference and clutter exist. Owing to using the FA, some new problems are created for the MTD processor in a compatible system: coherent processing with short sequence, ground clutter rejection, non-coherent integrated detection, and proper operation in the different FA modes. The appropriate measures introduced include the selection of FA modes, the optimization of filter design, the utilization of Kalman filtering, a new CFAR circuit, and three algorithms for detection. All these are applied to the design of a DMTS (digital moving target selector) processor which is a unit of an experimental compatible radar system. >
