Abstract

The effects of constant (10, 20, 30 °C) and sinuously undulating (10 – 30 °C) temperatures were studied in model experiments. The rate of ammonia immobilization increased with increasing incubation temperature, the total amount of N-immobilized reached the same final value during a week at all the temperatures. In the variants with undulating temperatures a slight tendency for K-remineralisation appeared at the end of the week's incubation. The results are discussed.
