Abstract

The aim of this article is to fetch various issues regarding the difficulties of teaching english in tribal/ ruler area of India. In most rural schools and colleges, English language education displays the portrayal which is very disturbing. For standard English language learning, introduction to language and the teacher’s expertise are the great solicitudes. In fact, the condition of the rural students is very complex rather than the urban students since the formers do not have modern facilities like language lab, audio or visual aids and so on. The main barrier for the rural students is that they read English for the sake of examination but not for the sake of language. Moreover, they have some kind of fear in their minds regarding the English language. That is why most of the rural students fail to clear the examination explicitly the English subject. The teachers should teach the students how to use the language. But unfortunately, they also focus on the examination instead of language. A language is not merely an assemblage of words but the rules and patterns (grammar) that connect one word to another. Language is a framework of signs and a medium which the humans use since their existence in order to express their feelings, ideas, emotions and so many such things.
