Abstract

The problems of life are many and differ from one person to another according to their sects and religions. The personal matters that pertain to the individual and his family or, to a greater extent, his clan, have a privacy that differs from others. For example, the marriage of a Muslim differs from the marriage of a non-Muslim in terms of its conditions and pillars, as well as with regard to matters of alimony, inheritance and other matters related to the person Himself Therefore, it is called personal status, as it concerns the condition of a person and not others, as it differs from commercial and criminal matters that all citizens are subject to its laws despite their different sects and religions. For all of this, we find that personal status has a specificity in which it differs from other statuses, which made it distinguished both legislatively and judicially due to its importance in building and cohesioning society.
