Abstract

The article deals with the theoretical aspects of the architectural and planning organization of temporary settlements. The materials are devoted to analysis of international theoretical and practical experience in the planning organization of temporary housing for displaced persons in post-conflict and post-catastrophe affected environments. The relevance of the study derives from the actual situation in Ukraine, under armed aggression of the Russian Federation.
 The work considers a trend in the architectural and planning organization of temporary housing for displaced persons in the context of strategy of sustainable development as well as a world’s practical experience of planning mobile temporary housing. The objective of the research is to identify the architectural and planning principles of building temporary housing for internally displaced persons in Ukraine and methods of their organization in the post-conflict environment of Ukraine.
 Papers analyze a key issues and factors affecting the formation of architectural and planning organization of temporary settlements; main principles of organizing and optimizing the established parameters for the development of temporary housing. The principles of the planning organization of temporary settlements for overcoming the crisis of sustainable development and solving the sustainability problems in the process of rebuilding the post-conflict environment are derived and indicated here.
