Abstract

Key summary pointsAimTo investigate the prevalence of non-pharmacological interventions (NPIs) in older homecare recipients in six European countries.FindingsThe prevalence of NPIs varied considerably between homecare users in different European countries. Interventions with a potential positive impact on health outcomes show a relatively low prevalence.MessageFurther research into better implementation of potentially beneficial interventions in treatment guidelines might be needed, in order to optimize functioning and quality of life of older homecare recipients.
