Abstract
Preparatory details are given for the synthesis of a series of radioactively tagged organotin compounds of the general class R 2SnY 2, where R is either butyl or octyl and Y is either monomethyl maleate, oxo-octyl thioglycolate, β-mercaptopropanoate, or 2-ethylhexanoate. Three radioactively tagged modifications of these compounds were prepared: in one the tag was present in the alkyl group (C 14), in another it was in the tin atom (Sn 113) and in the third it was in the Y-group (C 14).
