Abstract
The emf arising in the conventional photomagnetic effect is small and that is why it is not used in magnetic sensors. This paper gives a possibility to obtain a photomagnetic responce in a planar SOI structure. The design of the latter permits one to get a considerable emf signal which is sufficient to make a magnetosensor. Such sensors posses some unique features for this class devices.
