Abstract
Planning and material incentive are two most important factors in the development of the socialist economy. For the first time in the entire history of the development of the productive forces of society, social ownership of the means of production, constituting the basis of socialist relationships in production, eliminates the antagonism between the interests of the individual enterprise and those of society. The socialist mode of production unifies hundreds of thousands of enterprises into a structured system, operating and directed in accordance with a single national economic plan that has been discussed by the people as a whole and has the force of law.
