Abstract
The photoinitiated addition of ethanethiol and its derivatives XCH 2CH 2SH (X=HS, HO, (C 2H 5) 2N) to vinyl(ethynyl)- and diethynyl(diorganyl)silanes has been studied. The photochemical reaction of diethynyl (diorganyl)silanes with thiylation agents proceeds with participation of only one ethynyl group. In contrast to this, the double band of vinyl(ethynyl)diorganylsilanes takes part in photoinitiated thiylation.
