Abstract

The authors describe the behaviour of short circuit currents and the electromotive force in specimens of the Z-cut of LiIO3 crystals with identical deposited electrodes without preliminary polarisation. The results show that the formation of electromotive force and the short circuit current are the result of electrochemical processes taking place at the crystal electrode boundary and is determined by the anisotropy of α-LiIO3 crystals.
