Abstract

Multiferroic material has become an extremely popular because of its coupling of different orders and the potential application in multifunctional devices. Herein we successfully prepared xBaTiO3-(1-x)La2/3Ca1/3MnO3 solid solution via sol gel method and traditional sintering process. The solid solution is single phase with perovskite phase and its homogenous microstructure was proved via SEM. A colossal positive magnetoresistant behavior (8% between 150 K and 180 K) was observed, beside the traditional negative magnetoresistant in La2/3Ca1/3MnO3 based materials.
