Abstract
The southern part of Iranian Makran is very rich in petroglyphs and represents an ideal region for studying rock art remains on the Iranian plateau. This paper aims to introduce three petroglyphic assemblages found during recent archaeological surveys in Makran : Tang Sar, Dehirak and Deskigan. Based on comparison with well dated archaeological materials, these petroglyphs could be dated from the Late Chalcolithic to the recent times. Some of the engraved motifs on the petroglyphic assemblages of Makran show analogies with the findings on the Iranian plateau, in Central Asia and the Indian subcontinent.
