Abstract
Abstract From 1972 to the present has been Hua Kuo-feng's Peking Period. He holds major positions in central organs of the Party while still occupying key posts at the local level. These include the posts of first secretary of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee, acting chairman of the Hunan Provincial Revolutionary Committee, political commissar of the Canton Military Region, and first political commissar of the Hunan Provincial Military District.
