The article is devoted to the participation of Moscow sanitary doctors in the restoration of the municipal economy of Moscow destroyed by the war in order to prevent the spread of epidemics in the difficult period of 1917–1920, when the First World War had not yet ended, there was a change in the socio-political system, dual power arose everywhere in Russia and the Civil War began. All this led to the destruction of the old way of life, and in these difficult conditions a new state was born.
