Abstract

Every student of Renaissance architecture eagerly welcomes the kind of study Charles R. Mack published in the December 1974 issue of The Art Bulletin (“The Rucellai Palace: Some New Proposals”). It raises some general points on which I should like to offer a word of caution and it poses a few specific problems that may lead to further questions.
