Abstract

Changes occurring in thin films of liquid cis-butadiene rubbers in air have been investigated during oxidative and polymerization processes. The formation of space network polymers from liquid butadiene rubbers takes place via a stage in which soluble polymers are formed. Light is thrown on the ratios of processes of homopolymerization and copolymerization with oxygen at different stages in the polymerization process. The predominating reactivity of the 1,4- cis double bonds has been brought to light, as well as the differentiation of layers in the three dimensional polymerization process.
