The outlook of China's space astronomy

Abstract

In this paper an overview of the background and progress in space astronomy is presented, a brief review on the history of international space astronomy is reviewed, the current status and the development strategy in international space astronomy are introduced. With outlining the current status in China and key scientific question in space astronomy, we elaborate in particular the recent strategic study on China's space astronomy. Current research programs and some space astronomy projects and missions are introduced briefly. The outlook of the development of China's space Astronomy is offered in the end.
