Abstract
The following topics are briefly reviewed in this review: (1) outlines of the current statutes and trends of future developments of international and domestic space astronomy; (2) strategic goals of China’s space astronomy; (3) research programs and brief introductions of space astronomy projects and missions; (4) suggestions on strategies, management, and funding, in order to advance this field in the future. Research plans and the related projects and missions on the study of the Sun and the solar system are not included in this article.
